Why SmartLipo treatment…
This is an exciting technology for those that suffer from loose skin and reduction in collagen. With age and the effects of gravity, it’s normal for everything to sag over time. But now we have an effective tool to fight gravity and the affects of aging.
What to expect…
The skin tightening has proven desirable results for skin flaccidity. With the use of SmartLipo, the under surface of your skin is heated up to coagulate the tiny blood vessels as well as the collagen and connective tissue that affects the tightness of your skin. In doing this it causes the skin to contract and new collagen to form. Essentially the light beam is powerful enough to rupture fat cells and then melt the fat without traumatizing the surrounding blood vessels, nerves and other soft tissue.
The laser has also been shown useful in melting the fat for easier removal and smoother results, which is especially useful in areas where there is cellulite or tougher tissue. It not only helps reduce the appearance of cellulite but also tightens the skin for better results. In fact, SmartLipo has been shown to tighten skin up to 57 percent more than liposuction alone. If you are concerned about tightening your skin and want the best results possible, consider the use of SmartLipo.

After the procedure, we will keep you for approximately 30 – 60 minutes to ensure you are comfortable and your vitals are stable. After the procedure you may feel sore for 7 – 10 days. Additionally, you may experience bruising or some weeping from the liposuction sites, which are very normal.
Garments are important to reduce swelling post treatment. You will see Dr. Kirkendol-Watson one-week post procedure to check your progress. The swelling post-procedure takes time to recede and it may be three to six months before you realize the end result of your procedure. The staff at the LiveLight Lifestyle Medicine will be with you each step of the way.
